Welding

Students in the welding program are intruduced to welding safety, blueprint reading, and welding equipment identification and operation. They then learn industrial welding techniques including stick, tig, mig, and oxy fuel cutting. In the second year, they move on to carbon arc and plasma cutting. The class also includes American Welding Society code welding and the opportunity for industry-standard AWS welding certification.

Welding students participate in SkillsUSA and belong to the American Welding Society.

This class also includes American Welding Society code welding and opportunity for industry standard AWS welding certification.
Faculty

Scott Ulrich is a long-time HCC instructor. In addition to teaching, he travels throughout Missouri and the surrounding states administering welding certification exams for industrial businesses.
