Cosmetology is a 1220 hour program.  We begin class the first of August…and in just ten months you will be a Licensed Professional Cosmetologist!

The first eight weeks of the course are known as “Basic Training”  During this time you will learn disinfection procedures, shampooing, hair cutting, roller sets, styling, blow0-drying, using a marcel iron, a flat iron, manicuring, pedicuring, permanent waves, performing scalp treatments, client consultations, braiding and many more things.  In October we open to the public and students then perform work on clients who come to the school to receive services.

Our hours are 8:00 – 4:30, Monday through Thursday. On Thursday’s our schedule changes, you come to the school from 10:30-7:00.  (Hours and schedules vary for Secondary Students).  At the completion of the program, you will take a written exam and a practical exam.

Once you pass both of the exams, you will receive a Professional CA License from the Missouri State Board of Cosmetology and Barber Examiners.  Now you are ready to go to work!
